As a chartered Counselling
Psychologist I have a Practitioner Doctorate (PsychD.) in Psychotherapeutic and Counselling Psychology from the University of Surrey, a Masters degree (MSc.) in Counselling Psychology from London
Metropolitan University and an Honours degree
(Bsc. Hons) in Psychology from the University of Kent.
I have worked in the NHS
in primary care and specialist psychology, providing assessments and therapy to clients with a range of personal, psychological
and behavioural difficulties. I have provided individual and group therapy at drug and alcohol services, a NSPCC family
centre, and a community counselling service to clients from a wide range of backgrounds. Furthermore, I also designed
and facilitated parenting courses for parents of teenagers.
Currently I am involved
as part-time Clinical Director in the development of a Therapeutic Community for health professionals with substance misuse
and co-occurring mental health difficulties (www.aesculap-community.org).
I regularly attend advanced
training workshops to further my knowledge in mental health and evidence-based psychological therapies. I have just completed
Part 1 of a three part training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) for psychological trauma (for further

Furthermore, my research
interests are addiction and self-harm.
